Twitter has today launched the beta version of it’s big data visualisation tool Everyday Moments.
A UK map allows you to monitor conversations by filterable topics. https://moments.twitter.com/UK/#
At the moment those topics are pretty generic and obvious but once the tool is out of alpha I suspect there will be an option to track custom filters to monitor campaign messaging. Expect this to be a chargeable extra as Twitter seeks revenue generation streams.
If Twitter data gets more detailed there could use of this tool to monitor traffic situations or other similar live events.
